From reading the stuff on the web site it seems OC might be useful for the following situation but it would be good to get some comments from people who are more familiar with the whole area than I am.
The situation with my Life Extension Village project:
This is currently my most important project because so much money is tied up in it - and the financial possibilities continue to evolve almost daily. So I have scenario that I would like comment on:
I funded the first house and it is nearly finished but I need another method of fast development for more houses in the LEV (I will be Strata Titling the site and selling individual lots to people who are interested in the LEV "vision" ie creating physical and virtual communities dedicated to the development of science and culture with a specific interest in health and longevity.
However, CF does not seem really appropriate for the LEV and I really want to avoid any issues with ASIC about trading securities with ICOs etc. More recently I have been thinking of a Donation / Time Share model where people who are interested in what I am doing buying $1K "tokens" (really making a donation) which gives them the option to stay in a house in the LEV for 1 day per token per year indefinitely. This model is not going to be of interest to people who want quick returns on "investments" but is really aimed at the "True Believers" who want to be involved personally and financially in a great scientific and cultural project. Eventually I would want to fund a high-res brain scanning facility and other high (and low) health tech projects for the site. If the idea worked well, we could move on to funding the development of other LEVs and Scientific / Research projects.
This would then subsidise radical Life Extension (LE) research and eventually allow this community to explore the rest of The Universe.
Maybe I could leverage the value of the existing real estate (~AUS$1M) as a store of value to sell coins / tokens that would be attractive to people around the world who have similar aims to me?
